Engagement Night

Ok, here it goes...

I took Whitney out to eat in Laguna Beach - it's the same restaurant we celebrated our 1 year anniversary at (in fact we were sat at the same exact table). After a delicious meal, "we" decided a stroll on the beach would be fun. Despite the high tides and sub-zero temperatures, Whitney agreed to accompany me. I brought my props: a guitar, blanket, roses, and candles. She allowed me a few minutes to "set up," still unaware of the imminent question. Here's the scene:

Since it was pretty cold, and I knew there was an apartment-full of people waiting for us, I wasted no time beginning the song that I wrote for just this occasion.

After the song, I proposed and she said yes. We hugged and laughed together - she kept saying, "oh my gosh" like eighty thousand times. I had succeeded in surprising her.

We packed up and headed for her apartment where a lot of friends and family awaited us.

It turned out to be a perfect night...
Thank you to all who helped out and made our night special.
